All hooks snap tight and secure, the string rope is strong, the little metal closure stays are secure on the string, rusted yet not at all rusted out. There is some welcomed rust stain on the rope. The bottom magnetic portions of the hooks have some tarnish and surface rust that gently attest to age and use, the non magnetic swivels and the hooks themselves have some rust stain bleed that only enhances the appearance of this old stringer. No smoke or bad odors, no rope rot, No cleaning, no touch ups, no repairs, all original, tackle box found long in storage.
