    Description

Vintage American Flyer 21004 Pennsylvania 0-6-0 Engine.
One of the most appealing of all American Flyers steamers, the 21004 was introduced in 1957.
The attraction for this steamer stems from its slopeback tender, unique to the Flyer line, and its relative scarcity due to its short (2 years) production run.
Its striking sight lines make it a favorite for collections and layouts.
Both the locomotive and the tender had operating headlights.
The smoke and choo-choo were located in the boiler, and the two-position reverse unit was mounted on the rear of the motor.
The rear drivers were equipped with Pull-Mor traction tires.
Knuckle couplers were located on the front of the steamer and rear of the tender. This engine has been in a collection for over 50 years, so I’m certain it will require some TLC and I cannot guarantee that it is operates.
This gorgeous engine appears to me to be in Excellent to Like New condition; please refer to the pictures to determine the condition.

Thank you for your interest. Before placing a bid or making an offer, please read the following:
Photos tell much more than words. I make an effort to include well lighted photos that are bright and clear  that show many different angles. The photos show much detail and are the most important part of the description. I will also provide a reasonable detailed description of what I have found through research as an addition to the photos. Between the two you should be able to ascertain what you are bidding on. Should you have any questions or need additional information, please ask in advance before submitting a bid or making an offer.
I am not an expert in model trains; however I do make an effort to do some research so that items are listed correctly. I do not have a way to test trains or other items. I do not make any representation about the condition or suitability of any engine or motor for any particular purpose. No warranty of any kind is provided regarding operability of any item. Items are vintage and collectible and some may be very old. They will need some TLC and basic maintenance and possible repairs.
All items are sold “as is” and there are to be no returns; in the unlikely event there would be a return, buyer would be responsible for return shipping.
Payment is through eBay and expected within 3 days of a winning bid/offer/purchase.

Very large packages may be shipped via UPS. In the unlikely event there should be damage during shipping, buyer agrees to process any claim eligible for insurance coverage directly through the carrier. If carrier tracking indicates an item has been delivered, but somehow you did not receive it, buyer agrees to follow through with the local  carrier and/or postmaster and process any claim eligible for insurance coverage directly through the carrier. If carrier tracking indicates an item has not been delivered, the insurance claim will be handled on my end.
