    Description

Single Natural American Undyed Cotton Sherpa Cloth Menstrual pad - you choose absorbency
~ Heavy/Overnight/Post Partum Flow pad. When folded for use the center is 7 layers of soft, squishy cotton sherpa + 1 layer of leak-resistant fleece + 2 layers of unbleached, natural cotton felt. The pads are approx. 12" long and 3.5" wide when folded. They are made to be used with the folded soaker portion next to your body and the fleece underlayer against your panties to guard against leaks.
~ Medium/Heavy: When folded for use the center is 8 layers of soft squishy cotton sherpa + 2 layers of unbleached, natural cotton felt. The pads are approx. 9.5" long and 2.75" wide when folded. They can be used with the folded soaker portion next to your body or your undergarment.
~ Light/Medium: Light Pads or Pantyliners excellent for everyday use, internal device backup, or for light days. When folded for use the center is 8 layers of soft, absorbent cotton sherpa. The pads are 7.5" long and 2.75" wide when folded. They can be used with the folded soaker portion next to your body or your undergarment.
~ Dailywear: The Dailywear pads are approx. 8" long and 2.75" wide when folded for use. They may be used with the soaker portion against the body or face down against your panties, whichever you prefer. These can easily be used as thong liners! (see last picture) No need to purchase separate liners for your t-back days!
~ Dailywear Wingless: 6.5” long and approximately 2.75” wide these simple daily pads are wingless for maximum comfort. Need a solution for ultralight days, or everyday use that is trimmer and more comfortable? These are made of 4 layers of soft, plush cotton sherpa. These have no folding soaker portion, instead the soaker is two layers of sherpa sewn directly to the wings and body, which is also two layers of sherpa. Lightweight enough to use every day!
~ Intralabial Petals: A super lightweight menstrual or incontinence alternative. Great for internal product back up, light days, and every day. You lightly fold them on the center quilting and tuck between your labia (not internally) and they stay there. As for sizing, it generally corresponds to body type. Very petite women will likely want the petite petals, the vast majority of women prefer the midsize regular petals, large women may prefer the longer length petals).
Please note that on all medium/heavy and heavy/overnight pads you WILL see some of the natural cotton felt between the folding soaker layer and the wing base - this is NORMAL as the felt is sewn in so that it doesn't bunch up in the wash.
There are a number of beautiful cloth menstrual products available on the market, what makes MamaBear products unique is that I've tried to address the 3 following issues I encountered when I began using cloth products:
    1) COST: Many products are gorgeous and nearly all will save you money over disposables as they last YEARS, but the initial investment can be high. I want you to be able to use cloth products without breaking the bank! You can get FOUR MamaBear pads for the same price as ONE of some other pads!
    2) BREATHABILITY: I choose not to use PUL in my LadyWear products. While I do use this in diapers this is because of the sheer volume of liquid one has to retain! During the entire menstrual cycle only a few OUNCES of fluid is expelled. I've found that if you size the product properly to your flow there is no need for waterproof layers. At most a breathable, thin layer of fleece might be used in overnight/heavy pads. This means greater airflow, less bacterial growth and less odor (a common problem with disposable pads). Unlined pads are more comfortable for most women. If you have particularly heavy flow you might want to consider a feminine cup (internal product) with a cloth pad back up.
    3) DOWN-TIME: This is the amount of time your pad is NOT usable. If you have to wait until you accumulate enough to wash as a separate load it's likely that means each pad only gets used once/cycle. If you wash your pads with your regular laundry or by hand you may find that they are not clean or dry completely through. MamaBear pads are Quick-Dry! The layers that provide protection fold out completely to allow the entire pad to dry quickly, even if you hand-washed and hung them! You can use each pad every day of your period meaning you have to purchase fewer pads! Also, because they fold out it is easier to get all of the layers COMPLETELY clean and rinsed meaning less irritation and more hygenic periods!
All MamaBear Products come with Care Instructions!
NOTE: Due to the very personal nature of these items and for hygienic reasons I CANNOT accept returns on cloth hygiene products.
