Description

This adapter allows you to connect your 16 pin OBD2 device or cable to GREEN TYPE 2 9 pin Deutsch diagnostics connector found on heavy-duty, class 6,7,8 vehicles 2011 and newer.
The device or cable you are connecting MUST have the MALE OBD2 connector on it.
The OBD-II 16 pin on this cable is identical to the female connector found in all passenger vehicles - your cable or device must have the one that will plug into that connector
Has male and female GREEN Deutsch 9 pin connectors. Dismount existing connector > connector Y adapter to dismounted connector > mount other end of Y adapter where factory connector was dismounted > route 16 pin OBD to anywhere in vehicle with about 5 feet.
Approximately 12" length between green 9 pin connectors and 50" length between 9 pin and 16 pin OBD2 connector
All 9 pins from from diagnostics connector to diagnostics connector are wired through.
Provides power, ground, CAN/J1939 and J1708/J1587 data found on factory 9 Pin connector
One end has Deutsch HD16-9-1939S-P080 GREEN 9 pin plug with locking ring - this connects to your factory connector located in vehicle
Other end has Deutsch HD10-9-1939P-P080 this replaces the factory connector
Other end has J1962F Female 16 pin OBD2 type connector - this connects to your device such as scanner, telematics, GPS tracker and so on
Allows you to hide OBD2 type device in dash and still have genuine factory connector.
